The next-generation Dell Fluid file system version 4 (FluidFS v4) is equipped with the enterprise-class FS7610 to scale performance and capacity anytime, anywhere. Get higher performance and lower total cost of ownership while:
Linear performance extends up to 494,000 SPECsfs file OPS and 11.9 GB/sec maximum throughput 2
Improve performance even when adding more data with mirrored caching and automatic load balancing
Reduce costs with one of the most cost-effective existing scale-out NAS solutions.
Dell EqualLogic FS7610 Storage - Manage Growth Smartly
Manage growth intelligently

Easily manage storage growth by flexibly and non-disruptively scale performance and capacity independently.
Seamless integration with existing or new Dell Storage PS Series arrays without the need for a generational upgrade.
With the storage backend of the PS array, the block storage capacity and file storage capacity are expanded in a single namespace with a capacity of up to 509 TB3.
Improve scalability, performance, and security with extended protocol support including SMB 3.04, NFS v4 ACLs, and NFS v4.1.
Easily improve performance by adding a second FS7610 device.
Visually manage data blocks and file operations with the PS Series Group Manager or CLI.
Protect data with enterprise-class features

FluidFS also protects your data with the following features:
A file-level snapshot that the user can restore.
Provides snapshot-based file system level asynchronous replication for peer-to-peer FS7610 systems.
Full replication of the entire file system, including sharing, exporting, and permissions, to help make data recovery easy after a disaster.
Common Internet File System (CIFS) anti-virus support is provided through any ICAP AV server and certified partner software.
Network Data Management Protocol (NDMP) is used to provide backup and disaster recovery.

Dell Equallogic FS7610 Storage - Creating a Reliable Integrated Network
Create a reliable integrated network

Provide fully integrated end-to-end unified storage for your PS Series storage system with the FS7610 NAS appliance. The solution works with PS Series arrays to provide the core benefits of the PS Series platform, including peer-to-peer extensions, easy-to-use features, and turnkey software licenses. The EqualLogic FS family has the following features:

The 2U dedicated NAS platform is equipped with two high-availability active-active controllers and a PCIe backplane for communication between controllers.
Four 10 GbE ports for SAN connectivity and four ports for client networks.
For long-term reliability, the EqualLogic FS7610 NAS appliance includes the following features:
Active/active clustering and cache mirroring are established for the controller pair.
Provides an integrated backup power source to protect cached data in the event of a controller failure.
Fully redundant and hot-swappable controllers, power supplies and fans.
Automatic controller failover.
Provides checksum failure protection logging to protect file metadata.

Technical Parameters

New or existing Dell Storage PS array with firmware version 8.1 or higher

Capacity and bandwidth expansion
Up to 509 TB of available file capacity in a single namespace. Each NAS cluster is equipped with one or two FS7610 devices.

Two Intel 10 GbE dual port NICs per controller. 10 GbE can be SFP + or Base-T standard, and supports both copper and fiber connections.

A client connection needs to be established over Ethernet and a SAN connection is established through an iSCSI Ethernet switch; direct connection to the SAN is not supported.

NAS device
Each NAS device includes a pair of active/actively configured controllers with cache mirroring and integrated backup power. Each controller includes 24 GB of cache based on auto-adapted read and write RAM and two 4-core Intel® processors.
